This week's class will focus on exposing the pups to other dogs without direct interaction, teaching emotional regulation, emphasizing the value of the handler for relationship building, introducing food luring into basic positions, and practicing release cues for commands.

Each week will involve "homework" where handlers will practice the learned skills at home.

In week 2, we'll add verbal cues to basic positions, play the Name Game to reinforce name-recall, introduce pups to new textures and objects, work on leash skills and the value of the heel position, and gradually expose them to other pups while emphasizing the value of the handler and emotional regulation.

In week 3, we'll expose the pups to unusual noises, work on impulse control around thresholds and kennel doors, teach them to calm down during high arousal states, practice appropriate interaction with strangers on leash, refine leash skills and loose leash walking in groups, and facilitate healthy 1:1 pup interactions to ensure positive play and socialization behaviors.

In week 4, we'll focus on facilitating healthy 1:1 pup interactions to encourage appropriate play and socialization behaviors, teach dogs not to jump on people, help them respond appropriately to other dog body language and cues, practice recall commands during 1:1 pup interactions, and reinforce recall skills during interactions with strangers.

In week 5, we'll venture outside in the city, focusing on exposing the pups to urban environments to build confidence, practicing recall commands in a new setting, reinforcing the value of the handler, and using food lures alongside commands to further solidify obedience skills.
